Fwd: need help

Here I have something to ask about the ARPS model. Did you ever try to read the model output data? I found some programs in the ARPS model but they are not very useful: arpsread.f90, arpsio3d.f90. When I tried to compile arpsread.f90 and arpsio3d.f90, it came out like I still need many other subrountines too. Therefore I don't think it's a good way to read the data. Then I tried to convert the data format into Gempack format, but it turned out I lost many vertical levels' data. Converting the data to ASCII format doesn't make sense either because I can't get a clue to figure out which field's where.

So, I will appreciate it if you can help me with what you know about ARPS.
