Team Building Activities

Throughout the summer students participated in many recreational activities such as ice cream socials and pizza parties. At the beginning of the program we had a barbeque and an outing to Perfect Swing to get to know each other and the student's mentors. We also took an exciting float trip down the Illinois River. Students attended a number of festivals which took place during the summer months. Many students decided to go storm chasing in their free time as well.

Alicia Cacciola sums it up, "Pretty much every weekend had something going on. Most of the ten of us were social and took part in lots of the activites...It was a great way to become friends."

Overall, the students had an exciting summer filled with not only interesting research, but fun weekend activities.
