OU's Dr. Bill Beasley teaches the students how to develop a research idea. Although mentors
will assist the student participants in forming and conducting a research project during the REU program,
the process is important to understand and appreciate. Students who go on to pursue a Ph.D.
will use the skills discussed during this lecture and learned through their summer experience.
